Inked sketch of Anna's mortal and fae seeming. She's the sluagh I play in the Changeling game.
A guidance councelor at the university, Anna likes fine and exotic tobbacco, floating around in water, and speaking with foreign students in their own language. When she's out in the day she's usually wearing dark glasses and earplugs, and smoking copiously to dulll her senses.

Annegata bambola translates to "drowned doll" in italian.

Why does she dull her senses intentionally? I'm intrigued. Is there some changeling-universe reason for it?

Yeah yeah, it was late.

And why does she dull her senses? Because of her kith. Sluagh have heightened senses, and with the merits I bought, hers are so good that she can see, hear, smell, and taste -everything- at least twice or four times better than normal humans. In busy areas it's overwhelming. And cities stink. When she's on the hunt, or searching for something, then she'll stop smoking and take off the glasses.

Awesome! Life's too short for me to be in EVERY campaign on the planet, but I'm glad you share a few glimpses of some of the cooler ones through your drawings. ;)

I'm intrigued by how "haunted" your character's "fae" version looks - a product of her wider eyes and the windblown(?) hair, I think.

Slaugh are the dreams of creeping fear in the fae world. They have dark eyes and pale skin, they have no bones so they can squirm out of ropes and things, they like old things and things with emotional value and will frequently trade secrets and information for them instead of money.

Annegata's fairy side makes her look like she's constantly underwater. Her hair floats when she stands still and her dress sticks to her in odd ways. It brings to mind the ghost of a drowned woman, hence her name. ;)

A changeling exists in two worlds. The mortal world, and the fairy world which is kinda layered on top of the real one, like when you used to play pretend and jungle gyms would actually be giant castles or secret bases. Your seeming is your appearance in these places: you have a mortal seeming which is what you look like to everyone else, and a fae seeming which is what your fantastical real fairy-ness looks like.

Changelings come in different "kiths", or kinds. You have sidhe who are pretty elf nobles, boggans who are hobbit-like craftsmen and servants, pooka who are animalistic lying pranksters (like Coyote), satyrs who are passionate goat-legged musicians, nockers who are frustrated inventors with Tourette's, eshu who are wandering nomadic storytellers, trolls who are muscle-y nordic warriors of honor, redcaps who are violent voracious gang members, and sluagh who are creepy secret keepers who look like that Ringu girl, though sometimes in victorian goth dresses.

And that's your quick run down :D

I can really see this quiet, slinking girl in sluagh form. The guidance councelor is actually very pretty!

Great picture, as always! I really like to have the two versions side by side, giving you a multifaceted view at the same person.

I drew her with the big dark glasses and the smoking wand, it makes her look like a dead actress. :D

And I always like to draw my fae side by side so I can work out the particulars of what's different and what connects them. I like how her mortal side came out so guidance councelor-y.
